as long as the apps she needs are available on MacOS and you aren't price sensitive, then absolutely get a macbook.

By just logging onto the chromebook, he's autologged into his google/chrome profile, so he can access his drive, gclassroom (with assignments/due dates), calendar, gmail, etc... He doesn't have to remember 1,000 passwords and login to all the different things (which is a pain for elementary kids).

Also, since it maintains a consistent Chrome profile for them, all their bookmarks, search history, addons, and such are saved as well from home to school.

Sometimes Google scares me in how well it anticipates (and creates) needs.

the 13" MacBook Pro is about mid life cycle right now. I'm going to get the updated one the day it comes out. I thought it was going to be in the next month or so, but it's looking more like January or February now.
