One of my least favorite things is to go to a new camping site, and be able to hear people all round you, or have RV generators making noise.

Where around Laffy/BR/Nola are there good secluded and quiet spots to go camping?

TIA

The canoe sites at Lake Fausse Point State Park.

The hike-to sites on the lake trail at Chicot State Park.

Do you have a boat? There are a bunch in the Basin that are ~4 miles from anyone else.

I know you are looking in the Laffy/BR/NOLA area, but if you are ever around Ruston you must give Lincoln Parish Park a try. Super nice and quiet. They offer 32 full hook up RV sites and several sites in the woods for tents. Awesome place.

Went there while I was at forestry camp. Pretty nice place, great trails and beach area, but had a good bit of people when I went (late spring IIRC)

I've been wanting to check out Tickfaw SP, but haven't had the time to go

This but go to the Bottomland. The upland is stacked in like a parking lot. The only drawback to bottomland is that it doesnt have sewer whereas the upland area does have sewer.

Tickfaw isnt bad and the sites are relatively secluded from each other. There is an elevated boardwalk trail that goes to a metal suspension bridge. You also can rent canoes or bring your

The best thing to do is take a ride to a park you want to visit and scout out your spots. Then keep a file of the best spots. Thats what we've done since we started camping and it makes it much more enjoyable IMO.

A little further out but Black Creek in Brooklyn, MS (about 45 minutes outside Hattiesburg) is great. Rent a canoe, leave your car at the rental shack and paddle to whatever sandbar looks good. They'll come pick you up from any drop off point on the river for about $20.
