We were watching the last two episodes of series 8 last night on Netflix and wife laughed at my best friend and I when we said We didn't give a shite when Danny Pink died. We both hated him.. Maybe because we like Clara and he was getting it...

Danny was just blah. He wasn't awful, like Adric or Mel. He was just boring. Someone had to be last on the list and it was him. I think there has been a run of strong companions since the show came back. At least they try to make them well rounded characters with a life outside of the Doctor. Some of the ones in the 70s and 80s weren't great.
