AT&T U-Verse internet constantly going out.

For the past 3 days the modem seems to reset itself every 20-30 mins. I can hear it click, then the service is interrupted for about 2 mins until it resets. Is this a common problem? Is it a modem issue or a service provider issue? It's driving me crazy.

Odds are it's the cable modem they've provided. Your TV service is fine, right? What about phone service (if you have it)?
If those are good, then it's definitely the modem. You'll have to contact customer support and have them ship you a new one.
Bad news here. It'll easily take 3-5 days for that to get to you. It took my replacement a while to get to me when my old modem died.

No, tv is out as well.
In fact, it just went out completely and the red "Service" light just lit up on the modem.
The modem just got replaced about 2 weeks ago so I don't think it should be the problem.

Definitely call ATT. They can run line tests. Is the actual wired connection to you house down?
I once had a big arse delivery truck rip mine down from the wire.

Which gateway do you have? If 3801hgv, tell them to send you the new arris gateway as a replacement.

Yeah, I have the 3801HGV. I was told that was the newest and best. Did the tech lie to me?

I'm definitely starting to believe that

I've never had issues with it. Except 1 time the wireless router got zapped from a lightning strike but that's not really their fault.
I must be close to the node cause I hardly ever have issues with them.

I think that might be the issue. Apparently some people in the same area don't have any problems.
