come on man on the same day though? honestly I was audibly laughing the first time because I was playing with Dortmund and I figured that's karma. but then the same shite happened with Lyon and I almost broke my controller. as for me I've hit a rut. I had a lot of success moving to tiki taka but with the amount of high pressure guys I play I find myself unable to be patient anymore. I essentially start playing a counter attack, which is fine, but not in a narrow diamond. I'm just flip flopping wins and losses. I'm about to high pressure the frick out someone because I have 2 games left and need 6 points to get out D4 for the umpteenth time. after that I'm gonna focus on FUT for a while.

any tips for building your squad from the bottom? I had an awesome German squad on my old gen but I've literally forgotten how I built the team. I guess I just started with lower tier gold guys like Hermann and Volland and went from there but it seems overwhelming to try it again

I have around 12,000 coins. haven't even played through like 10% of my coin bonuses yet, but I don't have any players eligible for transfer

No BS---you can build an MLS squad for cheap as hell that can compete with anyone.

Giovinco might be the most OP player on the game relative to his rating. His acceleration, dribbling, and agility make him an absolute nightmare on the ball...it's like controlling a ball carrier in madden as opposed to FIFA. Put him in a formation that has a CAM and two strikers- Pair with Martens (pace and 5* weak foot) and either Dempsey/Dos Santos(heading/finishing) or David Villa (a second striker with 5* weak foot)

That gives you 3 bonafide attackers, and Castillo and Finlay give you pace on the wing or wide midfield. Oparra and Brooks is a good CB tandem. Put Howard at Keeper. You can build a an MLS squad that plays really really well. You can put Pirlo and Gerrard in midfield- Pirlo is the best passer on the game which is a huge rating in FUT- and Gerrard can score from range

My team right now is all black cards, a blue card, and a legend card. Hell I have 86 Christian Eriksen on my bench. My MLS squad played basically just as well as this one that's probably worth close to 2.5 million coins on the transfer market

I've had the most success with tika taka. I played gegenpressing for a while and it just doesn't work for me in division 3 and up. I pressure the offense when they get close to the midfield and take any transition opportunity to counter attack. When I'm in possession in the final third I tiki taka until I get a good shot, and I never pass up a good shot for a potential great shot unless the pass can't be missed. I've sank too many from 20 yards to pass up a good look, and given the ball away too many times in the box trying to make that last killer pass. Use the driven pass in the final third. You can unmark a marked attacker with a driven pass into the box
