Will there be another "honey badger?"

Tyrann was a badass from day one - blitzing, wreaking havoc with strips and interceptions. Dude basically lined up wherever he wanted, did whatever he wanted.
CFB could use another defensive player like him but can't recall someone doing this from day one since he came on the scene.
I wouldn't even mind our own poor man's version. Here's to the first day of college football.

I consider myself lucky that I was able to see him live while he was at LSU.

Tyrann Mathieu was such a joy to watch in college. I think a guy like that is even more rare because it takes a special defensive coordinator to properly utilize a talent like Mathieu.
Thank you John Chavis for your work. As sports fans, we appreciate it.

Special player for sure. I was disappointed that we never got to see the him play in 2012.

also an insane amount of depth to where you could pull a good cover cb and run him where ever. Few teams have the depth to do what LSU did with their secondary that year. It was a joy to watch that group.

He was special and the better question is "will there be another honey badger?" The fact that he was lining up for the LSU defense from day one as a true frosh was incredible.
There are certain players that you dream of having. Tyrann is one and I've always wanted a 265 pound badass OLB like Trent Murphy.

I was at the Oregon-LSU game when it became obvious that Mathieu was about to tear it up. So awesome.

Mathieu is the greatest pure football player LSU ever had and might very well ever have. He was just special from athleticism to instincts.

Kenyon Barner quit returning punts after that game.

There were so many games that year that Mathieu completely changed the momentum of a game. I think he should have received even more Heisman votes. That team was so damn good, and he was a HUGE part. I think they lose 3 games without him.

He was the best. Made the unbelievable look routine. Even the little stuff he did like fielding punts at full speed or on a crazy bounce to save field position was great. It doesn't feel like we got enough honey badger but at the same time he made a career's worth of plays in 2 years.
