Is LSU the Lowest Ranked Team to Recive so many NC Game Predictions?

Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstrieit and now Todd McShay are predicting LSU in the NC game. I've never seen a CF team get this many NC predictions like this and yet be ranked out of the top ten in all preseason polls. What gives? This ever happen before?

they're just sizing us up based on what might be, or what should be.

Before the 2003 season we were ranked #13 and I think remembering Phil Steele pegged us winning it all (even though we went 8-5 in 2002).

I think its an unusual situation since there is alot of uncertainty in the SEC this year; LSU, Auburn and Bama are all pretty close, but based on how pre-season rankings work it was likely that one would be top 5, another roughly 5-10, and the third 10-15. There are really only two teams between LSU at 14 and LSU at 2; the voters had LSU at 3 in that poll and the latest predictions have them at 1.

Add Golic to the list and he is picking LF to win the trophy.

If we would have named b Harris the starter before the rankings came out we would be top 10

Auburn was ranked similarly in 2010.

The era of TV's so-called experts getting a bird's-eye-view of elite teams is only recently begun. This won't be the last time that the polls don't quite reflect what folks see behind the scenes.
