When my store got it's first shipment I tried a bottle. It is good I suppose, but I would not want to drink more than one or two.
Wish I would have thought of the idea! Lol
Ps won't be long before not your fathers cola will come out.

It's terrible, but I am not big on sweet drinks when I'm drinking so I guess I'm biased

How much alcohol is in it??
Posted on 9/3/15 at 7:30 am to ashman487
I agree with OP. It's good for one drink because it's so sweet.
It's a good flavor if you like root beer. It's actually really good over ice.

This. It's my group of friends' drink of choice for Sundays grilling by the pool and and playing ladder golf or horse shoes. They sneak up on you because you don't realize how alcoholic they are.

The alcohol will kill the listeria, right?
Posted on 9/3/15 at 8:42 am to LNCHBOX
Probably the safest way to eat blue bell.
Chances are the alcohol in the root beer will probably kill any listeria that Blue Bell decides to ship your way.
ETA: Apparently the alcohol will inhibit the growth of listeria, but not kill it... Sorry, you still gonna die

I serve it at work with some Rumchata. The NOLA market just received it on draft two days ago and I'm waiting to get it in here in Houma. They also offer not your grandfathers which is around 10.7% as well as not your great grandfather's which is 19.7%. Small Town Brewery has had trouble keeping up and they are also opening up flavored root beers.

Small Town Brewery is a sham, own by the people who brought you such wonderful drinks as Four Loko, and bottled along side Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Smirnoff Ice.

Too funny. Whoever told you that is full of shite. The "brewery" couldn't make enough to keep up with your single bar.

This is my favorite part of their bullshite story...
and then Kovac read the scroll and was magically transported to the land of Bullshitia where he rode a Luck Dragon and saved the princess by giving her his magical root beer elixir...
quote:
Dating back to the 1600’s in Europe, one of Kovac’s grandfathers was a captain of a ship. When he wasn’t chartering courses through the open seas, the Captain would enjoy an occasional game of cards. In the game, the stakes were elevated to the point where one unfortunate card-player wagered a brewery. With one lucky hand, the Captain had won the brewery, and thus the profession of Brew-master was born into the Kovac bloodline. As water was scarce on the ships, the on-board brewery encouraged the spirits of the sea-wary deckhands and travelers alike. Later and naturally, the Captain had become Master Phillips of the Bell Ship that brought early settlers and some of the founders to America from Europe.
Kovac's mother handed Tim the dusty, leather-bound scroll. Within it were inscribed recipes dating back to the 1600's. The last ones to enjoy these brews are remembered in history books from which we studied while in school....

It is pretty ridiculous. Personally I don't mind the beverage, however I mind the bullshite that they are selling people. Why not just be upfront with what you are making/selling?

Well that's weird...it's in basically every store that sells alcohol up here in the Chicago burbs. Even 7-11 and grocery stores carry it by the pallet
