I tend to agree with this in large part. College football is completely different from 50 years ago. I do agree somewhat with the comments about improvements to strength and conditioning, and this effect. Either way, you can't deny the dramatic impact black athletes have had on college football. Billy Cannon would not have been "Billy Cannon" in today's college football.

He was world class in the 100m dash and the shotput. The guy was a freak of nature. He'd still be a stud these days with modern nutrition and training. He was 6'1" 215 lbs on a 50's diet. I think he'd make an All-American LB with modern weight lifting and training.

There are still white guy freaks out there, they are just a little more rare.

College football will be completely dufferent 50 years from now. Does that mean Bo Jackson won't be legit?
