I've watched Inside Man. So yes, I could pull off a bank heist.

Hitting a liquor store that cashes checks first thing in the AM on the first of the month would be a much higher yield, and not a Federal deal. You'd better be loaded heavy though, because they will fight you.

Easily. Show up at the bank managers house early in the morning, kidnap his family at gunpoint, hold his wife and kids hostage somewhere until he delivers the money and you have had a chance to make sure there are no trackers and then you let them go. Nobody is going to say shite when they know you have their family at gunpoint and they know they wont get in trouble for "helping" you out.

I'd have to know more about how much cash the tellers keep in their drawer and make sure they don't put those dye packs. I'd be pissed if I committed a federal crime for $10k and a blue face when I could get $50k for a nut, free and clear.

Yup. Buy 3 go phones, call in about a cop being shot at an apartment complex on the opposite side of the town... On each phone in different voices. Rob the bank 2 minutes later.

If I thought I could pull off a bank robbery, I guess I'd have done it by now

Nope. Absolutely not.

I'd get laughed out of the bank if I tried.

Anyone with average intelligence and decent planning could pull off a bank heist. What would be the downfall of most is finding a way to launder the money and use it without being caught.

I would be so nervous I could not breathe.

No way I could even so much as plot about it.

Not sure I could even heist my niece's piggy bank. She watches that thing like a hawk.
