I only read 4 pages, but during the bickering between tubucoco and everyone else (btw tubucoco you are wrong on the majority of your points) I didn't see anyone mention this: do you think the reason shep has the opportunity to play in the NFL while crafting his skill as a WR is because of the emphasis on special teams, toughness, and run blocking instilled in him by miles?
I mean you literally can't blame his poor receiving skills in college on coaching as Landry and beckam were the two most polished rookie receivers in their class...
Should have been a scat back? Well, he was at times lol. Who should have gotten less carries during Shepards career? Keiland Williams, Richard Murphy, Ridley, ware, Hilliard (fr), hill? All those guys minus ware and Hilliard have more NFL touches than shep.
Bottom line shep was an ok but not great receiver and running back in college, he wouldn't have been better player anywhere else either (our players are coached well and are killing it in the NFL) though he might have had more touches. The other programs he could have went to for more touches likely dont emphasis and convince him to take to special teams and run blocking like miles did, and the only shot at sticking around a roster while he learns WR is gone.
