He got the win for the Phillies today against the Marlins. He pitched a career high 8 innings, gave up three hits, ZERO runs and struck out six on 100 pitches.

He's now 4-1 on the season with a 3.59 ERA.

We had 4 major league pitchers on the 2012 team (Stoney Brook loss at home).

Nola GOAT!

We were also starting the least athletic OF in the history of baseball in that Super Regional. Alex Edward in RF, Raph Rhymes in LF and Mason Katz in CF.

Our outfield athleticism had zero to do why we lost.

But you're totally correct. That outfield was defensively.

I picked him up on my fantasy team. it hurt some due to his era and whip being pretty high. but i'm gonna keep him and he's starting to pay off.

ps; national league only league with 10 owners. pitching is always very thin so one has to "discover" new guys every year if you want a good pitcher under $30

Nola had a string of some average starts but the philies gave him lots of run support to give him the ND and maybe even 1 win. (I don't remember) This was his best stuff to date.
