This will get a lot of downvotes, but meh. There's a few stories about Lee at the end of that 2011 season, too.

:smh:

Bad? Bad?!?! The offense was amazing in those three games.

It was LSU's THREE BEST offensive performances of the year. Those three games were the only regular season games that Jefferson started and EVERY ONE of them was BETTER than the NINE games that Lee started.

Oh and for your myopic inability to focus on more than one aspect of a QB's play in those games:

Jefferson completed 100% of his passes against Ole Miss.

Jefferson threw for over 200 yards against Arkansas.

Wrong.

Lee played against the FCS team in 2011, not Jefferson.

How did Lee do against Alabama in 2011 . . . or in his career?

They played a division II team and two teams ranked at the bottom of the NCAA in total defense... I would hope they do well in these games....

I can get on board with this 18/28 208 yards 1 TD 1 INT 2 sacks 53 rushing yards 1 TD

but he was not a "savior" or great as the above poster would like us to believe.

So you think it would have been sane to try Lee against Alabama. You know, the guy who completed over 25% of his passes to Alabama in 2011, the guy who had a QB Rating of 14.51 against Alabama in 2011. The guy who, in his career, threw a pick in every 8 attempts against Alabama. The guy whose career numbers were FAR WORSE than Jefferson's numbers in the BCSCG.

You suggest that Les try Lee who obviously wasn't effective against Alabama.

But you think it's insane to leave in a guy who was completing 85% of his passes against Alabama.

I NEVER said that Jefferson was a "savior" or great.

He probably should have been pulled in the first half of that game. He was awful early.

He did play very well the second half though.

can never be convinced Jefferson didn't have nudes of Les.

Why would JJ need nude photos when he was the better qb.

JJ had a higher

Career compl %
career qb rating
Career td/int ratio
Career yards per attempt
Career yards per completion

As much as I love Lee for his heart and and his courage for sticking it out after the shite our fans gave him in 08, JJ was the better qb. I would've loved to see what JLEE could've become of not for Crowton and that 2008 season. Lee has one of the quickest releases I've seen in cfb.

Dumbass,

Jefferson didn't play against a Division II team.

Lee played against an FCS team.

Jefferson played THREE games to throw for over 200 yards. It took Lee NINE games.

At some point, you have to call off the dogs and let the backup play. Lee played well too in that game.

ONE of these is not like the other two. JJ out rushed Arky's entire team. JJ had a great game against Arky.

The INT was a poor decision. However, this was the best game Jefferson played at LSU in his career, besides maybe the aTm bowl game. He was one of the major reasons we dominated that game.

Agreed, he was certainly not a savior.

Agreed to the extent that Jefferson was not a "savior" or great.

Disagree to the extent that tduecen thinks I'm trying to convince anyone that Jefferson was a "savior" or great.

You mean the game LSU attempted 8 total passes the entire game? (Lee was 1-1) as Jefferson was still in the game in the 3rd quarter with LSU up 42-3
