I would think that the buildings swaying would be the biggest issue. Even a couple of inches seems like it would cause major problems.

The pool probably bears on some type of pads on either roof that allow for some expansion

Unless it was able to float on both buildings, similar to how that one nutty guy builds treehouses.

I'm sure they have that figured out. it probably sits on a suspension or float that allows for shifting and swaying. Otherwise supports would have to be all the way down the building. I'm only guessing.
