Agree, my guess is with as much as Gattis is DH'ing, they want Carter as the RH power bat on the bench. Tucker/Rasmus covers that for Lefties, Marwin is the Utility guy, and Jake is the defensive specialist.

Righty/lefty match ups don't really matter when you are only hitting .180.
