You don't know that.

Meh. I'm 99.9% sure and the one poster on this board who did have a weapon in his home during a home evasion couldn't get to it in time. Let's face it, the likelihood of defending your home with a gun during a home evasion is slim to none, mainly because
home evasions happen when the victim isn't around and if the victim is around there isn't enough time to defend yourself with your little handgun locked in your safe or tucked under your mattress.

Also, you need to reevaluate where you're living if you're worried about getting "got".

Well you've already been proven wrong so...

not sure what you're referring to, or how this is relevant in the least

I'm wondering what you base this on? I can assure you if someone attempts to break into my home while I'm there they are highly likely to be shot.

Again, where are you getting this nonsense? And are you seriously suggesting that since it is possible that things happen very quickly and defending yourself would be difficult, that people do not even attempt to do so?

Shite troll job as usual. Try again when you have some facts to at least play the part better.

Given that a firearm is relatively inexpensive, I would rather have the option available even if the chance of success is small.

Regarding the last statement, violent crime is not limited to the hood, you don't have to look very hard to find instances of home invasion, armed robbery, rape, etc. occurring even in gated neighborhoods with multi-million dollar homes.
