Steele and Orgeron have been working with the whole defense on stripping the ball more then anything else. Orgeron said he wants to get back to being a ferocious Defense

Having a real DC and a real DL coach is amazing. So versatile and focused.

Totally disagree, if you play "containment" D (to include never never never ever rushing the passer) everything will be ok. We don't need (quotation mark fingers) turnovers!

They should be making firing off the ball and Getting penetration the priority. Also getting off blocks. Stripping the ball should be the #4 priority

I think the whole "making turnovers a priority" is ridiculous statement. Every defense wants to create TOs. But TOs happen when defensive players are in the right place at the right time. If the coaching staff can put these guys in the right spot and the players a smart enough to get to the right spot on time, then TOs will happen on their own. Mathieu was so special because he was only guy I can remember at LSU that could create TOs on his own. That is a RARE talent and the exception, not the rule.

Force the QB to git rid of the ball early and be in the right spot. Turnovers will happen

I miss seeing the aggressiveness that defined a true lsu defense! I'm ready to see the d line get after the quarterback, get some sacks, and get the swagger going again. While chavis had a good run here, I think it maybe was time for a change. We now have Coach O, who is not going to accept anything but the best effort from his line and the defense as a whole, and he will also bring a spark to the mentality of the D. I don't want to speak too soon, but I'm very excited to see what's to come this season!
