Once you finish season 2, check out season 1... I guess I'll probably start and binge season 2 in the near future.

I love Woody and Matt but I actually like this season better.

McAdams is doing an okay job, but the whole knife training thing is also over the top. It's nice that they actually used it so as to not violate Chekhov's gun, but I feel like they really only needed to show it once

You see that doesn't bother me one bit, in fact I actually think it is necessary to her character....The way they built it up with McAdams telling Ferrel in an earlier episode "the difference between genders is that one can kill/control the other with their bare hands" (or something to that extent) makes it to where that is a part of her job that absolutely scares her, and since she actually is a good cop she wants to be well prepared....Also (trying to avoid spoilers) in episode 6 or so when she had flashbacks of her past, that shows even more why she has the need to always have a blade on her and be well versed in how to use it...The flashback came kind of late in the season, but it really tied her story all together as to why she is the way she is

It's not worth binge watching.

I think it'd make the show better and easier to follow

The first 4 or 5 episodes are painfully slow with overdone dialogue that you know police officers and gangsters are not using. lol But it does start really getting interesting. I def would catch up. Can't wait to see the finale

Very slow. But if you have patience, watch it and you will appreciate that the ending is set up to be much better than season one.

If not, start at episode 5 and you will still enjoy it

Had to settle for Rachel McAdams in her panties (would have loved to have seen more, but Rachel isn't giving it up). Still, that arse of hers looks damned good in a pair of blue jeans.

3) A lot of people complained about Vince Vaughn in the first few episodes but he's settled in and has really come into character at the midway point of the season
4) A lot of people are complaining about Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, and Kelly Reilly and saying that they suck and they're too this or too that, but IMO in reality they are accurately portraying what the character is going through...If you don't like the character that's one thing, and some times actors do ruin a role but I do not think this is the case

None of these are my problem with this season. My problem is that the pacing and story telling have been awful. So much stuff has been missing, or seems out of place.

and it isn't in Louisiana so that takes a little something away for me.

I wonder if this is true for others that are not willing to admit as much?

Yeah while in ban land I struggled to understand the hate
This board wasn't beating their dicks to true detective until episode 5, some in episode 4.

Structurally it's the same thing they got last time and now they hate it

Usually the first part in a 3 part dramatic structure is the least mind blowing or action packed or whatever people wanted

It has been fantastic from the beginning
