To entertain the question, no. LSU would be in the playoffs. It is hard to imagine a team that could lose to McNeese could win the rest of its games. In fact I bet the odds of that are less than 1/1,000,000.

Let's look at a more plausible situation.
We could beat McNeese 80-0. Leonard Fournette could run for 300 yards and Brandon Harris pass for 400 more.
Or ... we could beat McNeese 28-17 with our typical struggles.
And neither result would tell us a thing about this team going forward.
