What Would Have Been Better: DisneySea USA or WestCOT?

WestCOT was a planned second theme park for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was essentially a replica of EPCOT Center at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and would have been dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture. The park would have been represented by SpaceStation Earth, a larger version of the geodesic sphere Spaceship Earth featured at EPCOT Center.

Tokyo DisneySea has an overall nautical exploration theme to it. The idea for the park can be traced to a proposal to build a second theme park in Southern California called "Port Disney" in Long Beach, California, with the RMS Queen Mary as the main attraction .[5] However the idea was scrapped after the company endured financial trouble with the Euro Disney project. Later the idea was passed on to the Oriental Land Company to expand their resort. Unlike Tokyo Disneyland, the overall intention was to create a more adult-themed park, including faster, scarier rides and shows designed more for an older audience. By the time Tokyo DisneySea opened in 2001, its concepts and designs had been in development at Walt Disney Imagineering for well over 20 years.
I'd have to go with DisneySea. I watched a documentary on it and it's beautiful. California Adventure ultimately took the place of WestCOT. I am intrigued by the gold Spacestation Earth, however.

EPCOT is so overrated. Much rather DisneySea

I don't see how an adult could enjoy a Disney park. It has been a miserable experience every time I have gone.

The problem with this comparison is that I seriously doubt Port Disney would have ended up like Tokyo DisneySea has. Most people that have been to Tokyo have declared DisneySea to be the best Disney park in the world. Management at The Oriental Land Company has to get a lot of the credit. That's definitely not the same management that was in California at the same time. Port Disney more than likely would have had the same issues that California Adventure faces when it first opened. They would have cut corners and tried to save as much money as possible. I fear that may have been the fate for WestCOT as well. But the plans and concepts for WestCOT look incredible.

World Showcase
WestCOT’s World Showcase would have been different than EPCOT’s. Instead of representing individual countries, WestCOT would have grouped nations by regions. World Showcase would have been a representation of the four corners of the world. The four pavilions would have been The Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. World Showcase would have also been home to WestCOT’s signature attraction, The River of Time. At that time, it would have been the longest ride in Disney history. Guests would have sailed around the World Showcase on a world cruise while audio animatronics scenes would depict cultural and evolutionary stories of theworld’s civilizations. The entire loop around the “world” would have taken about 45 minutes. Guests would have been able to board at any of five ports, with the trip between ports taking about 9 minutes.
