Mainieri's personality doesn't mesh with all players. He's a picky coach and a pain the butt. Most good coaches are. I don't think any less of Byrd for leaving just because they didn't mesh. And I don't have an issue with the comments. It's the truth.

Ok, tell us more when you were in the dugout with Skip and his language?

Just once. Against Ole Miss. He let out a couple of "f" bombs.

Wasn't Bregman basically given a gag order after that too?

No. Oh, but that is what the paper said PM said. Hehehehe.

Pick your shot. YOu seem to know so much about baseball in general and LSU baseball in particular.

He knows more than you. You are an idiot. Your questions show that you know nothing.

PM benched Bregman, and called him out badly when he was in his slump his sophomore year

No!

Show me the quote. He never called out his boy.

And yet the questions go unanswered.
Why is that do you think?
You DO think, don't you?

You know that regardless of what I know and don't, I can't answer those questions here.

ETA: do you think PM treats every player the same?

What are some specific examples of how differently Byrd was treated.

Have you ever been to a practice? How many games have you actually been to? How many players have you ever talked to? None!!! I know that by what you say. You are the typical average fan. You are like sponge Bob. You suck up what you read.

But, this is what disgusts me about what you have to say. You actually act like you know what you are talking about. You should shut your mouth and listen. Maybe, you would learn something.

Man your life sucks. Is this really what you fantasize about? Surely, you can come up with something better than this.

I happen to have been there. You haven't. Your opinion may mean something to someone that doesn't know. But, you expose yourself. Unfortunately, you make your presence known. And, believe me. Anyone who has been there knows you are a fraud.

I dont see this as throwing anyone umder the bus. PMs way with his players works with quite a few of them and doesnt with a couple. Off the top of my head, here are players he really grinded on that worked out:
Schimpf, coleman, cotton, rhymes, foster, bregman, and jacoby.

You are correct. I would disagree that he grinded on Bregman.

Late to this thread, but there you are as usual with your party line coach is always right stuff. You are way out of your league here. Some posters have friends or relatives that have played for Coach. You know so little.
