People not understanding that education is one of this biggest drivers in bettering society, yet the US puts many road blocks (IE expensive education) in place to get said education.

I understand that college is not for everyone, but you could even create incentive to go to trade school.

For example, rural north louisiana is has some of the highest generational poverty in the nation. (Lake Providence and Talullah) Industry wants to come there to take advantage of the high unemployment rate, BUT they do not have enough capable workers to man a factory. It's sad, all of those people, black and white alike, living off the government. Why not tell them okay, in six months we will decrease your welfare or food stamps if you have not at least enrolled in a tech school. If you have not graduated in 3 years we lower it even more, and provide bonuses for milestones reached.

Right now they have no incentive to stop living the way they are living. Price of living is low enough there for them to live comfortable on what they receive, so why stop? They even have road side stands that sell blue crab and crawfish that are foodstamp eligible! It's ridiculous.
