quote:“I’ve got a lot of love for North Webster and Springhill. I passed on a great opportunity to go play at the IMG Academy in Florida. My mom graduated from Springhill so I want to keep that in the family. I just want to do everything I can here.”
“I visited Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss and TCU,” White said. “Then the Opening was one of the best experiences of my life. If I could do that every week I would.”
quote:
“With LSU, they give you the home state pitch and their running backs coach Frank Wilson is second to none,” White said. “At Arkansas they like big running backs and running the ball, plus they have the biggest offensive line in the world. My cousin Jared Cornelius is there so I would have someone to take me under their wing and mentor me. I really like their depth chart situation too.” “Alabama, they were one of the first schools to offer me my freshmen year. They recently had another running back kicked off the team and they have some guys who may leave after this year so the depth chart is good their as well.” The last of the SEC schools thought to be seriously in it for White is Ole Miss. “I think Ole Miss has the best pitch you could throw at a recruit,” White said. “Your best friend (Patterson) is going to be there. I have a good relationship with coach Shawn Patterson as well and I like that coach Hugh Freeze’s program is all about family. They’ve already said I can play either side of the ball, it’s basically on me.”

This is why he ultimately picks LSU. He has a strong sense of loyalty. The Boot wins.

Les and frank love big backs and use the running back by committee, so depth shouldn't be a issue

It's amazing how the people on twitter are getting in his head. He is repeating everything the twitter stalkers tell him. Maybe LSU needs to hire some twitter stalkers for those recruits that get in to that kind of "love."

Where's the "recruiting board God" when you need him?

All you people saying "he's gone" is fricking retarded. He is just saying all the nice things you expect him to say about a program, which isn't surprising. Not saying he is an LSU lock by any means, but our chances with him are still good. You guys take a lot of these articles way too seriously.

I don't see anything in the article that changes my thoughts or surprises me regarding his recruitment. He does a nice job of hitting each school's "talking points." I've said all along that Devin will take full advantage of the recruiting process and that it will come down to NSD. Unfortunately, my main worry is still that he'll go to 'Bama. Nevertheless, hopefully I'm wrong.
The only thing about his comments that surprised me was that he talked entirely about RB. I'd heard and read things suggesting he was considering LB. Personally, I still believe his best position in college/NFL is LB.
I was GLAD to see he gave some love to some of his teammates who've been lost in DW's recruiting, yet have played a very important part in both the team's, and his personal, success.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

I'm not doubting Buga until proven wrong. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Actually I'm not too concerned about this. Our RB depth is loaded and I think if we got him he'd fit in better at mike lber. We're definately super thin there and he'd probably see the field a lot as a true freshman.
