I think to show the difference in means to pursue a species can help people understand conservation through hunting. The lion he shot was a lone rogue who needed to be taken out of the population, not like Cecil. I get that some people don't like it (based on your sarcasm, I assume you don't) but what these ethical hunters do is better for the population than people who bitch about the hunting of lions over the internet.

i can give a shite about most lines kilt. ( ) but the thing i start rolling my eyes on is all the favors they acted like they did. This dude didn't go to africa to save a village, he did it to shoot a lion to get his rocks off and to bring back and mount and show everyone how cool he is and how much money he has to waste. That's it. Not to feed the hungry and or save the next african child.

So, lions existed a long arse time and did just fine on their own, man comes in and encroaches on their land, overhunts them, and then decides the only way to SAVE the lions is to kill more.

Your 'rogue' lion was just doing lion shite, out there getting strong so he could whip a weak arse lion like Cecil's arse one day, kill his kids, and take his women...making the genetics stronger and stronger. Instead we have Cecils old arse thinking he can defend a territory, but he didn't, a dentist with a high caliber rifle got in there and saved a whole village. He is a hero....except he really screwed up the natural order. The rogue lion was on his way to take what was his and strengthen the numbers...now all the lions are screwed.

I don't see a difference in shooting Cecil and putting a dog to sleep in a vets office. I really don't care. But to think that man can get in there and really show nature how nature should be managed is pretty prideful.
