I agree. But those guys are playing for some of the better teams in those leagues and playing in the champions league or Europa league. Seeing Kitchen miss out on that is disappointing. He's now playing in a league that across the board isn't as strong as MLS. But as you said it's Europe so hopefully he gets the exposure he needs to make the jump to a better league.

I'm guessing Steffen will have a shot at being the #1 Keeper.
I wonder what is happening with Clark? He has been their #1 keeper for some time, is a vet, and seems to have the club's confidence. Perhaps his contract is up. I suppose that he could be McMathed but I would think one would only be McMathed for someone like Howard (a well known star American player).

Gooch helped set up Sunderland's second goal against Rotherham.

He on trial there or something?

He's been with them for a few years now.

We're talking about different Gooches. I thought Onyewu popped up on trial there for some reason.

What are the odds of having multiple Gooches?

I think you opened the wrong thread, or did Kolo's dad happen to be in the US military?

De La Torre starting for Fulham against Nacional da Madeira in today's friendly. Ream also in the starting XI.

After training for some time with the club, California-born defender Callum Stretch (17) has signed with newly relegated Aston Villa

Any Fulham fans know if De la Torre is expected to get any playing time this year?

U18's could happen but I think more likely will get decent time with the U21's. I doubt he'll get much first-team action outside of cup ties. He's had good spells in preseason, but I think youth setup is most likely path this season.

CCV got 90 minutes and DeAndre played the second half for Spurs vs. Juve in Australia today. Didn't get to catch any of the game but ESPN3 will probably have a replay.

Breaking: American CM Caleb Stanko has been loaned from Freiburg to SC Vaduz - a Liechtenstein-based club in the Swiss Super League
Posted on 7/26/16 at 11:46 am to pvilleguru
Weird setup at that club. They always win the Liechtenstein Cup, so they get a sniff of Europa League qualifying (though they've never made group stage). And they can't qualify for Champions League representing Switzerland under current regulations. Doesn't apply to Stanko, mind you, but I've always found Vaduz an intriguing case in European football.
