I see lots of people saying "but... someone told me this was Illegal".
I haven't seen anyone cite a law stating that changing lanes in an intersection is even remotely close to being illegal. The insurance company is going to win this case, you are going to lose for driving like an a-hole, OP. Deal with it, bro.

No link. But maybe he could call Tracy Wirtz as an expert witness. The trooper told her it was against the law on Good Morning Acadiana.

I Googled it. You're right that it's not illegal. However, as several sites noted, you could be ticketed for an "unsafe lane change," depending on circumstances. Of course, that could apply to any lane change.
