this is the same guy that said he would support Jordan Jefferson for as long as he plays for LSU but gives everyone else shite just because they'd like to see Jennings come back because we need the depth

Delusional??? Why is someone who expects more from the QB position delusional? I'm sure Jennings is a fine young man despite his recent arrest. However, he showed little to no improvement over the course of last year. I think you are delusional if you don't place some of the blame for this on coaches. Now... proceed with your personal attack for expecting more from coaches. Now go back and play kickball with Choctaw and stop being so judgmental of fans who have a view that is vastly more realistic than yours.

It is always interesting to me when a"fan" criticizes Les Miles but who gets all pissy when he in turn gets criticized. Are fans immune from being criticized? My point which I had no expectation that you would get is that you and the rest of your howling mob have no clue as to what is going on inside the LSU program. You don't attend practices, you don't attend film sessions, you don't attend game planing sessions, you don't grade practice films. In other words you really don't know shite about what is going on except for what your equally as ignorant beer buddies tell you.
Your expectations are based upon your totally unrealistic ideas about what is going on. You have no idea what he might or might not have improved on because you don't know what is really going on.
I don't know either but I am smart enough to realize that.
Here is a sobering fact for you and the rest of your mob.
Les miles and his staff know more about football than you do or ever will. Just because you don't recognize changes, improvements, adjustments doesn't mean that they don't exist.
As for me I'll trust Les Miles and his staff on matters pertaining to LSU football over a gaggle of fans evrey day.

Believe it or not, he has posted a time or two a mild chiding of the playcalling and QB play last season. Its rare, but it happened.

This delusional hippie, on the other hand, thinks Miles walks on water and is above reproach... He also staunchly defended the play of DJ Welter(I still maintain he was his uncle).

but please.....continue with your stupid shite towards people that wouldn't mind seeing Jennings return.

You just don't get it... I don't care what Harris does in fall practice... IF AJ is available game one HE WILL start.... Miles likes the experience and probably still has a bad taste in his mouth about how Harris performed against AU last year... Miles is funny that way..... But if Miles starts AJ IMO it will be a huge mistake... Give Harris his chance and if we have a couple bad games [losses] then so be it... Game experience is what Harris needs.... AJ is not improving IMO...

Maybe Jennings HAS improved in certain areas that are unrecognizable to anyone but the coaches. Let's just assume that's true.

It really doesn't mean much if his actual production on the field doesn't improve. I mean, that's the way to really define improvement.

Maybe he's better (need to define that - being 1% better doesn't mean a thing) at reading defenses and throwing accurate passes. But if it doesn't translate to better performance and production on the field, then it's not really improvement that matters.

And I agree with the others that said we just didn't see much improvement (from a production standpoint) from AJ last year.

Anthony Jennings in 2014:

- 11 TDs/7 INTs
- Adj. QBR: 45.2
- 107th in completion % (48%)
- 106th in passing YPG
- 101st in total passing yards
- 91st in passing TD's
- 110th in completions per game
- 114th passing offense (team stat)

He is really, really bad. Not saying he can't get better, but last year he was absolutely horrendous. He was historically bad.

And we can't say he didn't have anyone around him. We had weapons all over the offense, a very good OL, and a top 10 defense that continually gave him opportunities.

I hope he gets better. I am rooting for the kid completely, but these numbers aren't what an LSU starting QB should have.

Except that his weapons were true freshmen who were being beat up on the line of scrimmage, his offensive line was learning a new blocking scheme, and even late in the season was much better with run blocking than pass blocking, and the defense was among the worst in the country at forcing turnovers.

There was literally no unit on the 2014 roster that was to the standard we have come to know. The only possible exception is at LB with Kwon and Beckwith.

ETA: And that's not to absolve Jennings of fault. The standard of QB play at LSU recently has been extremely poor, and Jennings failed to meet even that.
