The problem with the heavier weight classes is that now heartless Europeans dominate. That tells you how worthless those weights are. When I was really into boxing in the late '80's and 90's those frickers would fold at the slightest hint of adversity. Just look at the Klitschkos and the mediocre fighters they lost to. During the 1970's they'd have gotten their asses destroyed by the superior wills of the U.S. boxers.

The problem is that boxing gymns in inner cities went to shite and young guys came up focusing on other sports (football, basketball, and baseball).
We aren't seeing the american heavyweights with long amateur backgrounds with great boxing skills. Boxing has become more of a fall back sport after those sports don't work out.

Why not retire after solidifying himself as the GOAT
What?! He's a great defensive counterpuncher and incredibly smart in the ring, but he's not a complete fighter- even in his prime he didn't have top level power and he's lacked the courage to risk his record and climb the divisions in the way a lot of past greats did (imagine if Roy Jones Jr for example never goes heavyweight - he retires essentially unbeaten (1 DQ) but also no heavyweight belt))
It'd be like calling a high average slap singles hitter the greatest hitter of all time since he had a higher average than Ruth or Bonds.

Why not just sample a few cards here and there and find a few fighters you like to follow?
I'll probably watch tonight's full card but the only fighter I'm really interested in seeing is Paul Felder.

Too many names. Seems like the UFC is just a revolving door

I can't believe the people that spent the money on his last fight .. Did they think he was going to come out all Tommy Hearns/Marvin Hagler ?? He's fought the same way his entire career ..
