Got plenty of pitching depth in Minors: Martes, Feliz, Velasquez, Musgrove and Appel
Haven't even tapped the pitching prospects.
Fisher is a coveted bat. Don't think they're moving AJ Reed.
Drafted Eshelman who should move up the charts in coming years, so pitching is expendable.

The Gomez to Houston deal makes the Mets look even worse after last night. Clearly he was not the reason they chose to call the deal off
