Sounds like a good time. The orpheum is one of my favorite venues in New Orleans.

I think it'll be one of the first shows there after reopens. I'm thrilled.

I didn't realize that it had been closed since Katrina! Jeez. I was lucky enough to see a show in the spring of 2005 there.

I missed the pre-sale. Is it General Admission or Reserved?

GA, but it's GA divided by floor. For the presale: floor was $60, 1st balcony was $45, and 3rd was $30 (I think).

They only release a small # of tickets for Wilco presales so getting floor tickets shouldn't be hard.

I'll probably make a post about it at some point, but you Wilco fans should make the trek over to the Piney Woods Picnic to see the Autumn Defense, and other good stuff, the weekend before. It will be a good time. Hell, you should buy a ticket even if you don't want to go. Buy tickets for someone you know. Buy tickets for someone you don't know!

These tickets are a steal. And you can support a wee homegrown music fest in it's second year. I spent more money on Uber last weekend than weekend passes at the picnic cost. I've yet to have live musical entertainment and paddling in an Uber though, but that's what you'll get at the Piney Woods Picnic. Live music and paddling. And at the Piney Woods Picnic, you won't have to worry about calculating those pesky Uber surcharges while hammered, because you can't Uber at the Piney Woods Picnic.

With any luck, the fantastically paranoid meth head lady will wander out of her meth den deep in the woods, into the park again so she can attempt to dismantle someone's car because, the government, resulting in the only thing approaching an issue all weekend. How's that for laignappe! Hopefully, the website will be better/more informative soon. It might not be though. But if you have a question, don't let that stop you from buying lots of tickets for strangers. There are so many people you don't know to buy tickets for! And I'll do my best to get you a reasonable facsimile of an answer to dang near any question. If you'd like I'll fax you the facsimile of an answer. That's how much I want you to buy lots of tickets for strangers. End promotional rant! I'm not affiliated in any way, nor is this medical or legal advice, so it's not shameless self-promotion. Sorry. I know TLDR. Carry on.

Anybody looking at other dates on the tour?

I'm in ATX. I missed the pre-sale via Wilco yesterday but got tickets for both nights at Stubbs today via their pre-sale.

Tickets have been on sale for a full hour and are still available at each price point.

I thought for sure this one was going to be an instant sellout.

i bought 1 for 2nd balcony on pre-sale because everything else was sold out... is 2nd balcony good seating?

I kind of regret my purchase now, i would rather have floor/orchestra seats.

What should i do?

It's way more intimate venue than the Civic. If you are on the floor you'll be smelling Tweedy's breath.

I would say yes. Just looked at the tickets again and floor and balcony are sold out. Only gallery left.

Also see the venue announced a few more shows: Dwight Yoakam, Chick Corea & Bela Fleck included.

Looking good in there. Can't wait to hear an actual show in there.
