I have a white lab and don't have problems with the ducks spotting him. Now I usually hunt in the marsh in roseau canes or fly grass. As long as he has some cover in front of him (neck down) it's usually not an issue.

I guess my deal is that in the marsh there are a lot of lighter colored grasses that make a white dog a lot easier to blend in. In the swamp it's all brown and green.

Do you hunt from a boat? If not I'm curious what your dog stands/sits on. The pirogue?

Shoot the ducks on first pass before they can flair with some 3-1/2" Black Clouds
