re: Defensive Line Depth Seems like the biggest concern for this season

I think most of the lack of pressure was scheme-related. In the past five seasons, only four times has an LSU player had more than 5 sacks. And the most recent was Sam Montgomery. LSU has gone two straight seasons with a player with 5 sacks.
We return the entire two-deep at DT, so I'm not too concerned about depth there. The concern is the ends. We return four (five maybe, if you count Bain) ends who saw action last season (tackles/TFL/sacks)
Bower (16/2.5/0)
Teuhama (7/2/2)
Clark (9/0.5/0)
Neal (3/1.5/0)
Bain (6/0/0)
That doesn't include Arden Key, who may force his way into the rotation. I'm not sure depth is the concern, as those guys were all able to play in limited action, the issue is finding two effective starters on the end. I think the bigger issue is not the talent on hand, but what the new scheme would look like. Chavis tended to ask his ends to play contain, so we'll see how the defense adjusts... or even if they will change scheme at all.
But there's no way this is a bigger issue than QB.
