Why do you think that we traded Kenny Stills?

I haven't heard or read (maybe it was on here earlier and I missed it) anything about our reasoning as to why we traded away Kenny. He had a really productive season for us and still has potential to grow as a receiver.
This isn't a "OMG Kenny is so great we should have kept him!" Thread. Just wondering if there is anything out there that I may have missed that Kenny did/was doing wrong. Was it his work ethic? Off the field drama?
What are your thoughts?

I have to assume it was a locker room thing. His play on the field was very valuable and I can't think of any reason other than off the field stuff.
Eta: I absolutely hated it when I found out, unless it really was a locker room issue. That's the only reason I'd be ok with it.

practicing the Patriots method; better to get rid of one year early than one year late.

Since we haven't done squat about the biggest troublemaker on the team I'd still have an issue with it.

Yeah I'm assuming it's a locker room thing with him and possibly Jimmy too. I also don't think the front office would get rid of any WR without getting approval or direction from Drew.

#1 Troublemaker being captain and defensive "leader" = locker room problem

he was a bit of a prima donna and was probably a little like Meachem in his first go 'round. A product of the system to some degree. I expect we'll see evidence of that this season.

It was a pretty solid trade

Because we were offered a 3rd for him

There were some rumors circulating that Brees wasn't happy with him, but IIRC that was a day of tweet reaction by some Dolphins writer.
A third rounder and a potential starting inside linebacker on a team whose only starting inside linebacker the day of the trade was David Hawthorne wasn't a bad deal of it though at all.

The return wasn't bad but having relatively unproven Cooks, aging Colston, and a bunch of question marks as his replacement is.

I'm not saying it was a bad deal, I just really liked Stills and he was a proven/young player in a position thin in that area. He's got decent size, a mix of speed and precision route running.

Pretty sure he was part of the Red Eye crew, and I also read they were worried about his influence on some other players, namely Vaccaro. None of this is verified of course.

Because he wears women's clothes.
