Will be the value of this years QB class.

With an ADP around 100, this is the guy I am targeting.

Will have a great year.

seems to be every analysts "trendy" pick, so by the time your draft rolls around his ADP will be about where it should be, if not over valued.

You will be disappointed. He will be a low end fantasy #1, like 11th or 12th.

Rodgers
Luck
Brees
Romo
Peyton
Brady
Wilson
Big Ben
Stafford
Ryan

That's 11 guys that I would take over him...probably Cam and Rivers too.

I liked him coming out of college and he has some nice weapons around him, but I don't think he finishes above most of those guys.

He has STRUGGLED to stretch the field and be accurate downfield. He was very good for a stretch last year where he would throw for a couple of TDs and rush for 50-60 yards. I don't think you can rely on those rushing yards week to week. He'll have his moments in 2015, but will burn you more weeks than you'd like out of your starting QB.

I don't think one should target Ryan Tannehill. He may be the lesser of two evils in round 10, but not a QB I'd feel comfy making a ship run.

I'll look into using him some in daily leagues. Last year I can remember a week where I really thought hard about using him in a big cash tournament (the Dolphins were playing the Vikings at home) but backed off the night before the game and settled on Drew Brees who was taking on the ATL Falcons at the Dome.

well, Tannehill threw for like over 400 yards and I don't know how many TD's. He was the top scorer at QB for the week and my lineup did well except Brees.

it was a shitty weekend all around.

my thought process in taking Tannehill was that maybe he'd blow up since they were playing a team that wasn't all that familiar with them.

sucks.

I'm thinking about grabbing him myself. This is his third year going with the new OC book I believe? Could be solid this year... could also suck... but taking him in the 6/7th is worth it. Should leave you with some stout first 2-3 picks.

Carson Palmer/Teddy Bridgewater would be a better bet.

ADP and everything is fine for a qb, but it's best to let the draft come to you with the QB situation.

You have to be careful when you are "targeting" a certain guy just because of his ADP when it comes to qb.

Are you targeting him because you think he will be a top 6-7 guy, or are you targeting him because you think him going around 100 is a value?

If he is your "guy" and six qbs go in front of him by round 6 are you prepared to reach for him? That's what you have to ask yourself.

It's much better to have a group of qbs that you value about evenly, and wait till the last (or preferably 2 remain) from that group and then grab. And in a lot of cases, it's probably advantageous to get 2 qbs within 3 rounds of each other when you are waiting.

That's why it's so crucial to make a draft board and chart positions of other teams so you can have a rough guess of when a team might be selecting a certain position depending on league size.

He is a good target to pair with another mid-level guy if you miss on the big 6-8 guys. I would consider him a top shelf QB2 (12 team) but he will likely be gone before I will want to draft him. I definitely wouldn't feel like I could make a run at the SB with him as my QB1.

I saw statistics last year that talked about drafting a QB and when you should take one. It polled last 3 years of FF champions and found that around 45% of the champs took a QB in the 2nd round. I don't remember the exact stats, but they were something like (standard scoring):
25%- first round
45%- second round
20%- third round
10%- fourth or later

I was surprised, but it shows of you don't have a top 5 QB, you reduce your chances significantly.
