I been thinking about ending my time with cable and just sticking to Hulu and Netflix, but as football season approaches I don't know how I am going to watch my games (both Auburn and LSU is what I care about)!! I do have an Apple TV and getting a Chromecast for my other TV.

Do you have any positives or negatives about the Chromecast?

Does anyone know how to watch football games online so I could stream it from my phone or laptop?

Should I just try and see for football season if I can have my cable service just for football season?

I was thinking about getting a Smart TV (wanted the internet base website), but I needed up talking myself out of that, unless someone can give me a good reason why. I just think after a few years it will be outdated for the processing speed and the software would outdated.

CBS and ESPN should cover the bulk of these games right? Get an antenna to pick up CBS over the air. Sling TV or borrowing the cable password of family/friends that still have cable seems to be the most common way people watch ESPN online, although you can get it legally using Sling TV.

Really good sticky on the Tech Board about all of this. I'm considering doing it too but may wait til after football season to pull the plug.
