Hey Fellas, I'm new here and I was just wondering if there was any fishing reports in the CenLa area or if I shouldn't waste my and just go on over to Toledo Bend?

TIA

Go to Toledo Bend. I can be in the water catching fish in an hour and a half instead of wasting an hour at Indian Creek, or Kincaid, or Cotile or any other Cenla dead sea you can think of.

Red River is screwed. Cenla lakes are too pressured with no management, even though we have a fish hatchery on the bank of the shittiest lake in the state. Sportsmans Paradise. Yea right.

You are 100 percent spot on! You can catch a few bass at Saline/Larto when the water isn't high like it is now. Otherwise, Toledo is the only option. Its a damn shame!

Hold on there ball coach. I believe your putting some of us law abiding fishermen in the same boat with the lawless. We don't all keep under sized fish as you stated as a matter of fact I know several people that don't keep anything. They just love to catch fish, and release em. Remember we share the lake with another state.

Poor state folks can't figure out that a fish hatchery is built to grow fish. If they'd just open the pipe for ten minutes once a month.
Should be better than Caney (should have been but they fricked that up too)

Here's the deal on Cenla waters. Once May is over, avoid anything even remotely resembling an impoundment if you are after bass until October comes. Stick to things more along the lines of natural lakes like Saline and Spring bayou. If you want impoundment fishing, and have the time, yes, go to Toledo. That, or fish at night. Pretty sure Saline is on fire right now. May go Saturday morning if one of you fools want to ride.

That is dumb. I have lived in Crnla for 20 years. I am from NELa, I can promise you that folks up that way keep more fish than anyone.

Look at Darbonne, it is damn near seined every year and is healthy as hell.

In my opinion the lakes and bayous up there are just more fertile.

On that note, Toledo is possibly the best bass lake in the US and resides in Central Louisiana, Just sayin

Don't forget the coonasses north of I-10.

Buddy from VP sez that after April all the bass in Chicot are in the sewer pipes of Evangeline.

You're making shite up. Cenla has more catch and release people than any area I've ever been too. The issues here are not numbers. Fish IC in the spring, or watch the schools in the fall. There are plenty of fish.

Have had this same conversation with tons of folks up here at Toledo and we all agree the worst area fishermen that visit Toledo from a managment standpoint is Cenla folks and in second and not far behind is coonasses from south of I10
The south of I-10 folks are who you are talking about. Oh, and not only are you an idiot. You're a fricking a-hole. That's quite the combination.

From now on, every Toledo bass I catch will be pithed and returned for the turtled. After I keep my 8 of course.

I fished Crooked Creek reservoir last weekend, caught 5 bass but biggest one was 17", not much size to them. Water was a little high, caught them all on zoom super fluke texas rigged weightless.
