Unless its posturing, it sounds like Gotze may be out.
So...we tried to sign Teixera in January and Gotze now. It sounds to me like Klopp wants anyother dynamic attacker. Maybe this isn't as much of a "luxury" buy as people would have us believe.
If Gotze does indeed remove himself, I suspect we'll find oursevles looking for another really good attacking talent.

Yeah just read the comments by his father. There's too much smoke to this fire. It seems like we've missed out.

Is he getting the 1 shirt or do we always do that for GK?
Awesome news!! Really excited to see him - was hoping for maybe a more immediately World Class Keeper, but he's an improvement with room to grow and I'll take that.
Canos has apparently asked to leave - he has one more year on his contract and apparently our new offer is low.
Sinclair, Rossiter, and now Canos - three promising youngsters turned off by our contract offers and heading elsewhere. I wonder if we have a policy in place to try to supress these youth wages and its backfiring?

He's wearing the 1. Migs has 22.

He turned down a reasonable offer for a young guy who will play bit part roles in this coming season. It wasn't low considering Brannagan's and other's wages. He's just being a little twat. He can frick right off to sitting the bench at somewhere like Middlesbrough if he cares that much about money.

Are we going to sell Migs? Surely his price tag would be more than what we bought Karius for, right?

I think we should absolutely keep Migs as a backup.

You think he wants to stick around as a back up?
Posted on 5/24/16 at 3:14 pm to pvilleguru
Think anywhere else would really want him as a #1?

You serious? I doubt he was the worst GK in the Premier League this year. That's without getting into the other 5 major leagues or so.

I guess what I meant was, is he willing to play for a crap(er) club to be #1 or is he okay with playing for a club with European and title aspirations as the #2

If he shies away from competition, he can piss off to another club. If the competition brings out the best in him, and he learns to distribute and fricking control the box like a man, then let's see him fight it out. There's no guarantee this German comes in and takes his job. Migs might prove to have some mettle.

Fair... But I think Karius is probably our #1 moving forward
Posted on 5/24/16 at 4:35 pm to Tigerfan7218
It seems to me that top clubs should always have a #2 capable of starting somewhere else in the league.
Migs, IMO, is absolutely ideal as a #2. Do you think Begovic is bitching about not being the first choice over Courtois. No. Because he's a fricking adult, and depth is nice.

100% agree with this.
I would love to see him stay, I just want another guy to be our #1 moving forward (and Karius hopefully be that guy)

Ideally, Migs gets the boot... frick him..
Realistically, maybe keep him around a year while Ward goes out on loan then bring him back and give him the boot..
I have no idea what kind of wages he's on... he could pull an Enrique and be happy sitting on the bench and refuse a move with a pay cut..

Haha wow tell us how you really feel.

I'm just done with him... Ive seen him commit some of the stupidest errors from a GK and I just want him gone... not to mention his constant goal kicks that you just know have a 4 in 5 chance of ending up out of play... which is usually proceeded by his frantic looking "act" like he's trying to launch a counter attack..
