First of the new season.
Cech...
Who else? Community Shield is close and can't believe there is only one month until opening day.
Here is to a great season and atleast one trophy..

John Cross says we aren't buying a DM and aren't listening to offers for Santi. Sounds like we won't look too much different from last year, sans Cech.
I'm okay with that. I think we have to be able to play without Coq/Arteta in certain games, with Ramsey-Wilshere-Santi holding central spots. Still have Ox and Rosicky for depth.

Here's to hoping for a real title challenge and advancing past the RO16.

Someone is offering 250-1 odds that Cech breaks his own 21 shutouts in one season record

"Welcome to Arsenal" post for anyone who has decided to follow the World's best football club.
I thought we could just put together some things that we have seen, podcasts to listen to, etc. to help ease anyone in to the club.
Past:
Arsenal The Official History pt. 1
Arsenal The Official History pt. 2
Arsenal - The Complete 49 Game Unbeaten Record
Thierry Henry - Legend (Documentary)

Michael Thomas' Incredible Late Goal @ Liverpool to Win the League (1989)
Dennis Bergkamp's Magic Goal

Arsenal Dream Team in Action
Arsenal: 12 FA Cups
Arsenal's Greatest 10 Moments
Recent/Present:
I posted a bunch of highlights on the first page if you want to check some of them out. ( LINK).
Here is the current roster of first team: LINK
Here are some videos from the Arsenal's official video page so you can get to know some of the players better:

The Future:
The team is relatively young, so expect a lot of these guys to be around a while, but I'll list a few guys to keep an eye on that aren't currently expecting to see a lot of playing time or are on loan.
The obvious choice to start with is the USMNT U20 World Cup representative Gedion Zelalem: LINK
Dan Crowley (on loan at Barnsley): LINK
Alex Iwobi: LINK
Jeff Rein-Adelaide: LINK
Serge Gnabry (on loan to West Brom): LINK
Isaac Hayden (on loan at Hull): LINK
Chuba Akpom (on loan at Hull): LINK

I'm not complaining about the new thread, but what happens on July 7th that makes this the time to start a new one?

Like I said at the end of the other thread. I don't see us making another move unless some world class player suddenly becomes available.
It just seems like we play so much better with Coq in - who takes that pure defensive role if he gets hurt or needs a rest?
