Yeah if he deliberately left the spent casing at the crime scene AND deliberately kept the box of bullets in his car, then we're not talking about sloppy police work.
It's speculation at this point but it's not outrageous to make the jump that he purposely allowed Boys to have a firearm on his person during and after his arrest.

it sounds like he might even qualify as lucky he didnt get shot, honestly. boys got his hands to the front when originally transported (and shouldve had his cuffs changed then, in addition to the list of other issues).
it doesnt sound like he was trying to set holloway up, as much as just lazy and trying to coast out of the office as quickly and painlessly as possible that night. but we will see as more comes out.

Did he know the guy prior to them arresting him? Did he have some beef with the cop that got killed.
