places in the Northeast because being from the South, we really are taught to be friendly and polite and that's not really the case everywhere. I smile at strangers when we make eye contact and people up north think I'm trying to frick them or something because of it. Sorry my mama raised me right.
That is looked at as strange in much of the North and other areas.
