Ronda rousey is somewhat the female version of Royce Gracie when Royce was untouchable. Highly skilled elite level skills but the rest of the competition is subpar. That was neither Royce's nor Ronda's fault. Ronda however would evolve her training. Royce never really did or at least not to the level which was needed.

Another difference was that Royce wasn't an elite athlete, he may have been the least skilled out of all the Gracie brothers. However if mma had the publicity it does now when he started the same comparisons would have been drawn.

She fought an undefeated fighter that throws arm punches. Bethe's trainer/boyfriend was a yes man. This fight was all marketing. Bethe did not deserve this fight. But since she defeated two of Ronda's teammates the marketing team used that as a storyline.

Another fight with Tate will prove nothing. She should retire undefeated there is no one else really.

I watched this at bww; people were cheering very loud for Ronda. But they cheered so loud that it was as if they thought she couldn't win.

I'm sure ill get shitted on for saying all this.

Pretty sure most know she could take the average joe down. Just not an elite male athlete. Huge difference. Even if its 150 lb Mayweather.

Even his small arse is 15+ lbs heavier than her from the start. If she was 20 lbs heavier than him it would be much more fun to discuss.

UFC needs to start recruiting the "ladies" from World Star fight videos. Train them up & out them in the octagon.

Maybe the fights will last longer.

Simple takedown defense can be taught in 10 minutes. Hook the arms, spread your legs out and way and put your weight forward. Boom. Mayweather just learned to defend Rousey's biggest weapon.

Ronda doesn't do simple takedowns. She doesn't shoot in for single or double legs. She is a world class judo champion. She would throw Mayweather around at will. And once on the ground Floyd would be helpless. In an MMA match she runs through Floyd and it's not even close. If you doubt that then you haven't been paying attention to what she has been doing.

Weird. I thought Rousey's biggest weapon was judo not wrestling.

Just for shits and giggles, let's say she couldn't take him down, but she pulled guard. Then what?

I say Floyd would be fricked.

Cyborg and Carano together today

The head on Cyborg shows how HGH'd out she is. She's barely in the human species now.

Idk if you're refuting what I'm saying or I'm just the last post you saw, but trust me, I exploded when Ronda KO'ed that bitch! She is the best at what she does and I have nothing but respect for her. Well, that a lie, IWHI no questions asked! But to say she could fight a man who is a world class fighter, regardless of style is ridiculous. Could she knock me out? Oh yeah. But I'm not a world class fighter nor was I ever one.

Floyd is not a world class fighter. He is a world class boxer. Huge difference. He has no training in any other area of martial arts. To assume he can walk in against a world class MMA athlete and stand a chance is pure stupidity.

And to think he would walk into a fight with her without any ground training is stupid as well.

Come on people

He would likely beat the shite out of her in the face and she would unlikely be fast enough to react. shes so much slower than him it would be a huge disadvantage.

Mayweather makes elite male boxers look slow. And hes stronger than her by a lot. Which is why the comparisons are really stupid. But fun.

Men are stronger and faster than woman.

Are we really arguing biology?

Pure stupidity is this entire conversation and I'm pissed I got sucked into it.
Let just enjoy what she is doing. She is the best at her craft.
Any hypothetical conversations are just stupid.
Ronda is a beast! I enjoyed her win tonight! I LOVED her tribute to Rowdy Roddy Piper! And most importantly IWHI

She would control his posture on the way down, then sweep him or submit him in less than a minute. Controlling posture on novices isn't that tough at all.

It takes quite a while to learn how to defend sweeps and subs...especially against high level grapplers.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be able to pop her a lot before she ever got close enough to get her hands on him, I'm just bringing up the hypothetical of her pulling guard on him.

Come on people

6 months of training grappling would still not get him ready for someone who has been grappling for a lifetime.

The last time a boxer stepped up to MMA Couture schooled Toney.

Nick Diaz was constantly billed as the best boxer in MMA. GSP destroyed him by just taking him down at will. And Diaz is a BJJ black belt yet stood no chance against one of the greatest WW of all time.

My point is,Ronda wouldn't box with floyd. She would throw him and sink an arm bar and be done with him.
