If you are squirrel hunting, why do you need ANOTHER gun to protect you from hogs?


I guess I just take too many chances with my own life. Unless I am hunting or specifically checking hog traps, I almost never take a firearm with me.

I was just giving an example of an attack happening. As it was, the dude shot the (pretty massive) hog with a .22 and the hog ran off.

Here's another one: my brother and uncle had to wait for half an hour after dark during bow season (Pomme de Terre WMA) because a very large hog was deliberately blocking their path down a dry slough, stomping & grunting, etc., and they couldnt see well enough to shoot with their bows. After half an hour they hadn't heard it for a while and took their chances going down the slough & out the woods.
