I'm assuming he is talking about some games running better on PS4 due to it being the console being developed on. Much like 360 being the dominant console for devs last gen.
IMO there aren't enough differences to justify one over the other in this regard.
I buy multiplats for the system I like playing on more. I honestly like the PS4 controller better than the Xbone controller (maybe due to just using it more) so I usually pick PS4. Plus I am a trophy whore. Well I guess also, the majority of my friends have PS4 as well.

Because if it's the worse version of it and you willingly choose it without any benefit, then you've made a questionable decision. Not sure how that's tough to break down.
Edit: Unless the controller really affects you that much. Never really did for me. I picked the better version last gen, and will do so this gen as well.

Ps4 is a stronger system .. We don't need to have this convo again. Graphically games look better
