Then if we lose 5 games in a season again playing the hardest schedule in football people would still be calling for les miles head. You don't win championships by killing your team through the season. Look at Bama, all cake walks until the sec games and they don't usually play good sec east teams like us

I wouldn't want to cake walk to a title game like Bama. 2011 was amazing in part because of the gauntlet that we went through to get to the title game.

Our last two NC appearances were due to scheduling a top OOC foe in my opinion.

In 07 VT plays OSU in title game instead of us if we don't throttle them. That destruction is what pushed us to the top of the 2 loss teams anyway.

11 we would have played Oregon in title game instead of regular season. That offseason preparation for that opener is what i contribute a lot of that teams success to however (rotating 2 offenses against 1 D in practice).

Just my opinion: schedule the big dogs...(on the other hand scheduling us did cost VT and Oregon title games)
