Although the Karate Kid saga set his place in history, I wonder how his career would have panned out had he gone into more serious roles after "The Outsiders." The character of Daniel Laruso was a far cry from that of Johnny Cade. What say you?

Aside from the Karate Kid, the fact that he always looked and sounded like a kid probably made it difficult to find grown up roles.

He's not a great actor but he played likeable characters pretty well. I liked the movie Crossroads where he played a young Blues guitarist who has to compete against the devil, sort of like the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia.
