I understand people are frustrated. Paul wasn't on point last night and the arms weren't fantastic outside of Lange during the CWS, neither were the bats for that matter.

First off, winning the CWS isn't easy. Being the number one team doesn't mean much like in football or basketball. Think of how many
close games and lucky plays we had to win our 6 CWS. TCU has taken the damn hardest route so far coming out of the losers bracket in regionals, having to win 16 inning games in supers. They have had some things go there way. Like poche getting the fricking yips.
This isn't a 8-5 football season, we finished regular season #1, won the SEC and made it to Omaha.

Everyone knew we didn't really have a #3 starter all year, it was gonna be a problem if we ever got into the losers bracket in the tournament and we finally did.

I'm looking forward to seeing the arms in 2016 and they will be absolutely filthy come 2017 and hopefully the offense will have come back by then.

Good points. Also makes you realize how worthless baseball rankings are.

I didn't say it is title or bust. A few weeks ago, someone had a post taking a poll. Wanted to know what people would think if LSU lost in the regional, lost in supers, lost 2 and q in cws, made the finals and won a title. I said then anything less than making the finals would be a dissapointment. We were number 1 for most of the year, had an easy regional then super regional and then just one other seeded team in our bracket and we go 1-2. That is not acceptable for this program. Combine that with all of the other failures since 2010. This is les miles all over again. Since 2001 we have won 7 games and lost 11 in the cws. How is that for the best program in the country? Not good.

I remember that. I said we should win at least two. After we lost Sunday I knew winning it all would be really tough. But we had the pitching to win at least two. We've won 2 out of 3 the majority of the times year. Complete choke job by Mainieri last night.

Since when is a top 5 finish in any sport "unacceptable"?

So u were okay with LSU losing to bama in 2011? It all comes down to contending for championships.

Even with the bama loss, lsu's 2011 season was special

So no, I wasn't okay with the bama loss, but I'm capable of looking at the season and not just 1 game

Am i disappointed? Yeah.

Do i want to win? Yeah.

Am i ok with that, in the moment, as a singularity? No.

Am i ok with it in the grand scheme of things? Yeah.

Because that is contending for a championship... so is reaching Omaha.

So being number one most of the year and being disappointed that we didn't finish in the top 2 is irrational? I think we can do better. Regular season is for chumps. Paul can win the sec every year. If u don't make it to the cws and win a few games and not get embarrassed than that doesn't work for me.

During the SEC Tourney I began to have doubts about the offense, the bullpen and the depth of the starting pitching.

Posted my thoughts back then.

Everyone is disappointed

Saying that it is unacceptable for the program is a different story. This was a good season and a fun ride.

Tell me about it. Skip never had to beat Vandy nor Virginia in Omaha. Those two teams were in the finals last year, and they are both 2-0 in the CWS this year. Talk about tough competition.

It's a crapshoot obviously lsu should have never been ranked one or two. pauls decisions with pitching costs the game

It happens

I put Sundays loss on him more than last night. I've been saying it all week, we didnt have the pitching to score 4 runs. If those boys werent going to hit the ball we were fricked. Sunday and Tuesday were our only chances to not score many runs and win.
