There was a good article the other day about the attempt by people who have transplanted themselves into New Orleans to try and send things traditionally associated with New Orleans into hyperdrive. The spike in second lines, jazz funerals organanized by white kids, new Mardi Gras krewes, parades for everything and every group, and cheesy attempts to ride tired Yat culture are examples of this. People who follow around the 610 stompers and find them entertaining fit right in this. I'm not sure how many times someone can watch the same thing and find it hysterical, but it takes all kinds...

Oh the Stompers are the definition of this. I'm not sure any of the dudes are actual born and raised locals.

I'm offended you would say this, I remember the first time I came down to nawlins I knew I had to move here. the culture and the people are so much better than jersey
