And once again, they don't stab Jon because of the wildlings. They stab him because he decides to be an oathbreaker and leave the Watch. Edd stabbing Jon in this context is very believable.

The show and the books have differentiated on this.

Edd has seen the WW army and he has seen Jon kill a white walker. It makes no frickin sense for him to want to kill him
