Ummmm, no. Chris was a better offensive player no doubt. He also had a better supporting cast around him than Shaq IMO. Shaq however had a way bigger impact. Opponents started keeping 4 defenders around the post (box and 1?) to try and stop him. They would rotate defenders into the game just to foul him. No single player had a bigger impact on an opponents game plan than Shaq. On defense, his shot blocking ability also changed the dynamics of opposing offenses. If Chris had been a better defender than he was, he would have my vote.

Disagree. CJ was incredible but the '89 team would have won damn near 20 games without him as Blanton and Big Wayne were solid. The '90 team seemed to suffer at times with his questionable shot selections. Oneal dominated the paint for 3 years, including a National PoY and SEC championship.
