This. ULM and Tech don't like it. Small fish. LSU doesn't like it, won't allow it and has the political allies to make sure of that. Having a scool named University of Louisiana could cause people to mistake LSUs flagship status if they didn't know better. None of the "peons" in this state will be allowed to be mistaken for the flagship.

ULM knows their place in the pecking order of Louisiana universities unlike the Techsters and ULaLa. Btw ULM is not going anywhere with their nursing and pharmacy schools ranked where they are. Grambling, NW St, SE La, and either McNeese or Nichols St need to be closed. There are too many schools relative to the population in Louisiana.
